Domestic violence calls up in Kalamazoo County amid coronavirus stay-at-home order

With people stuck at home all day, every day, stress levels are rising. With them, incidents of domestic violence are also rising.

Domestic violence cases have spiked in recent weeks, compared to the same time period in 2019, according to a report on MLive.

There are resources available for people who need to escape a dangerous situation. The YWCA’s domestic assault team is available 24/7 for victims or those with knowledge of domestic abuse. To reach the facility’s crisis line, you can call 269-385-3587.
