Governor planning to reopen state economy by region/business

Governor Gretchen Whitmer is planning to reopen parts of the state’s economy in phases. In a Monday press conference, the governor announced her “MI Safe Start” plan, though details are still to be announced.

The resumption of business will also be phased in across business types, beginning with people who work outdoors, such construction and landscaping.
