Kalamazoo County sees highest spike in coronavirus cases yet
The number of positive COVID-19 tests in Kalamazoo County increased dramatically this weekend due in part to increased testing last week, according to MLive.
The state of Michigan reported 23 new positive cases in Kalamazoo County Saturday and 12 new cases Sunday bringing the countywide total to 166. The number of deaths remains at nine.
Meanwhile, the increase of coronavirus cases statewide is flattening out. There were 633 new cases reported Sunday making it the fourth day in a row of fewer than 800 new cases.
Statewide, it’s a positive sign, but increases in Kalamazoo County could indicate we aren’t close to reaching the peak locally, according to Bridge Magazine.
