KDPS officers now required to pass a health screening before starting shift
It's in an effort to help curb the spread of COVID-19 for officers and the public.
Officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety must now go through an online health screening before being permitted to go to work each day, WWMT reports.
“It’s really to protect our fellow employees so we’re not unintentionally exposing some of them to COVID, or when we’re out taking calls and interacting with the public, we want to make sure that we’re not carriers and spreading it to the public as well,” said KDPS Assistant Chief Davis Boysen.
