Bravo! Restaurant and Cafe closes for good amid COVID-19 shutdown

The owners of the 33-year-old restaurant cited difficulties during the coronavirus crisis.

A Kalamazoo institution is closing its doors permanently after struggling during the coronavirus pandemic.

Bravo! Restaurant and Cafe first opened its doors in 1987 on Portage Road across from the airport.

The restaurant’s owners announced the decision in a Facebook post Tuesday.

“Please know this is a very difficult and emotional time for us,” they said. “We are missing you already.”

The restaurant was owned by Ann Parfet, Don Parfet, Terry Hagen, and Shawn Hagen.
