COVID-19 numbers down at Kalamazoo’s largest hospital

Bronson Methodist Hospital has seen declining numbers of coronavirus patients since a peak in the past two to three weeks.

Bronson Methodist Hospital is seeing a declining number of coronavirus patients recently. That’s good news for the Kalamazoo area, where COVID-19 numbers seem to have peaked in recent weeks.

“We’re beyond that three-week plateau and moving into how do we deliver care going forward,” said Dr. Aaron Lane-Davies, chief of quality for Bronson Medical Group, according to an article on MLive. “Understanding that COVID-19 is in our community for the foreseeable future.”

As of Thursday, the grand total of COVID-19 cases in Kalamazoo County was 765, with 115 of those needing to be hospitalized.

Ascension Borgess has not released its patient, recovery and death data, citing patient privacy.
