Kalamazoo City, County parks to reopen Wednesday

Kalamazoo City and County officials will reopen their respective parks Wednesday.
The city closed parks April 7. The county closed parks March 16. Both closures were a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
People will be able to visit the parks, but there will be rules. Visitors must abide by social distancing guidelines. And facilities such as playgrounds and picnic shelters will continue to be off limits.
Park officials said both governments will monitor park usage and could consider closing parks again if people don’t follow the rules, according to articles on MLive.
