Kalamazoo County prepares to reopen “whether we like it or not”
Kalamazoo County Health Officer Jim Rutherford is preparing an estimated 60 page document outlining best practices for businesses to reopen while the coronavirus pandemic rages on.
“This reopening is a big train and it’s leaving the station whether we like it or not,” he said during a county commission meeting Tuesday, according to an article on MLive. “Whether we feel we have enough science to validate it, this is happening.”
Plans to loosen restrictions in the state are moving forward, although Governor Gretchen Whitmer and state health officials say it is still too early.
