Meijer expanding hours

The store is also expanding shopping time for at-risk people. But the chain won't go back to 24-hour schedule yet.

Meijer announced it is expanding its hours of operation beginning Friday. They will be open from 6am to midnight every day.

Usually a 24-hour shopping center, Meijer reduced its operating hours March 19 to allow for adequate cleaning.

The store chain is also expanding hours for shoppers most at risk of contracting COVID-19 and for essential workers.

Meijer stores will be open from 6 to 8am Tuesdays and Thursdays for people over the age of 60 and those with chronic health conditions.

The stores will be open from 6 to 8am on Mondays and Wednesdays for law enforcement, first responders, and medical workers.
