State website helps connect businesses with masks, gloves

Pure Michigan Business Connect was launched to help reopening businesses find protective equipment.

Called Pure Michigan Business Connect, the free platform aims to streamline the process of finding and buying equipment like face masks, face shields, gloves, goggles and other materials needed to ensure the health and safety of employees and customers.

The site builds on efforts to “support the production of more than 5.5 million individual PPE supplies in Michigan,” said MEDC CEO Mark Burton in an article on MLive, “as well as connect health and human service needs in the fight against COVID-19 with Michigan businesses providing critical supplies.”

Since the platform launched in March, the site has logged nearly 1,800 suppliers of PPE.
