Summer events cancelled, postponed in Kalamazoo County
Two major events in Kalamazoo County have been cancelled on rescheduled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
June Jubilee is typically the unofficial start of the summer in Kalamazoo. Originally set for the first weekend in June, the events have been postponed until August 12 through 16.
June Jubilee includes the Do-Dah Parade, KIA’s Arts Fair, and the Beats on Bates concert series kickoff.
Kindleberger Summer Festival
Meanwhile, Parchment’s annual Kindleberger Summer Festival and concert series has been cancelled outright.
In a post on its Facebook page, organizers said they made the decision to protect the health of their “team members, volunteers, vendor partners, participating artists, guests, and entire community.”
The Kindleberger Summer Festival features music, food, and theatrical performances. It was scheduled for mid-July.
