Hospitals loosen restrictions on visitors

Declining COVID-19 numbers are leading area hospitals to allow people to visit their loved ones again.

With COVID-19 cases declining to near zero in Kalamazoo County, area hospitals are loosening up rules regarding visitors to their facilities.

Bronson Methodist Hospital and Ascension Borgess Hospital both revised their visitation policies last week, according to an article on MLive.

That comes after Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced on June 3 that medical facilities could again allow visitors.

There will be restrictions for visitors. They must wear face masks and follow social distancing guidelines. Visitors will also have to submit to a health screening before entering the hospitals.
