Kalamazoo blues group cancels summer blues fest
The Kalamazoo Valley Blues Association cancelled the August event to focus on planning next year's.

The Kalamazoo Blues Festival has been cancelled for 2020.
The Kalamazoo Valley Blues Association (KVBA) announced Friday that it cancelled the annual festival to ensure the safety of musicians and attendees.
“As excited as we are for the 2020 festival, we do not want to put anyone at risk,” said KVBA board president Mike Depoian in a statement on the group’s website.
The 26-year-old festival was to have been held in late August. The group will instead begin planning for next summer’s festival.
