Nonprofit planning virtual support groups for those grieving coronavirus loss

The groups will start June 15 and run for six weeks.

Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan is launching a free online support group for those grieving the loss of a loved one due to COVID-19.

Called “Grief and COVID-19,” the groups will meet for six weeks beginning June 15.

A weekday morning email roundup of Kalamazoo stories and events.

“It’s especially hard with restrictions on gathering that are in place,” said Denise King, the director of marketing for Hospice Care. “There is help for you if you have lost someone because of this pandemic.”

There are two groups: One for adults over 31 years old and one for people aged 19 to 30.

Participants can register until June 10 by emailing [email protected].
