State reports 645 new coronavirus cases Thursday
New cases bring the seven day moving average to highest level since mid-May.
State officials reported 645 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Thursday bringing the moving seven day average to 594. That’s the highest average since May 20.
Just three people were reported to have died from the virus; however, a review of death records turned up 13 more people who had died on previous days.
The majority of cases have been reported in the most populous counties in the east of the state. But health officials warn of rising cases in Kalamazoo and surrounding counties.
Kalamazoo County reported seven new cases Wednesday, the most recent day for which there was data.
