Michigan reports 557 new cases of COVID-19, 8 new deaths
The daily total marks the second day in a row of fewer than 600 new cases of the coronavirus.
State health officials reported 557 new cases of COVID-19 in Michigan Monday marking two days in a row of fewer than 600 new infections.
The seven day moving average decreased slightly to 648 new cases per day.
The state also reported eight new deaths from the virus Monday. That is a little higher than average, but not out of line.
Kalamazoo County reported just one new case of COVID-19 Monday. The county’s moving average is 5.57 new cases per day.
