Michigan reports 868 new COVID cases, 4 deaths
State health officials reported 868 new COVID-19 infections Monday and four deaths related to the virus.
Monday’s infection total brings the seven day moving average to 630 new cases per day. It’s an increase after a weekend of high numbers caused by a data error on Friday. Health officials said the average isn’t affected by that reporting error.
Kalamazoo County health officials also reported an increase in COVID-19 infections. They showed seven new cases on Monday, 22 on Sunday, and seven on Saturday. The county reports new COVID numbers on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
