$500 available for hospitality workers harmed by pandemic

The one-time funds are open to the first 5,000 people who apply.

The State of Michigan has launched a program to provide a one-time payment of $500 to hospitality workers who lost their job or were furloughed during the coronavirus pandemic.

The $2.5 million grant from the state will cover just 5,000 people. Once that has been allocated, the application will close.
