The low numbers belie a surge of cases on college and university campuses. As classes return to session, many schools are experiencing outbreaks of COVID-19 infections.

Those surges are worst in Isabella, Ottawa, Lenawee, and Ingham counties – all home to colleges or universities.

Kalamazoo County reported six new cases of the coronavirus Tuesday and two new deaths. The deaths may be attributable to reviews of previous death records.
