Bronson hospital restricting visitors

Bronson Methodist Hospital has announced it will no longer allow visitors beginning Thursday morning.
The numbers of COVID-19 patients in Kalamazoo County has increased dramatically over the past several weeks, and Bronson has borne the brunt of the hospitalizations. As of Wednesday, the hospital reported 55 COVID-19 patients bringing it close to 100% capacity.
“Implementing these changes helps ensure we are doing everything we can to protect our staff, patients and the community,” read a news release from the hospital. “We know this is difficult for patients and families, but it is necessary at this time.”
Bronson will allow visitors in some specific situations. Patients giving birth, newborns, and critical care patients will be allowed limited visitors.
You can read a full list of the exceptions on the hospital’s website.
