Kalamazoo airport to offer COVID testing

The airport has partnered with OptiMed Health Partners to offer COVID testing to travelers.

Travelers will now be able to be tested for COVID-19 at the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport thanks to a partnership between the airport and the Kalamazoo-based OptiMed Health Partners.

Testing officially began last week.

Typical tests will still take 24- to 48-hours to return results, though testing will be free-of-charge and will not require a doctor’s referral.

Hurried travelers will have the option to get a 15-minute rapid antigen test for a fee of $100.

Some airlines require a negative coronavirus test before a passenger is allowed to board the plane.
