Vaccines available at Rite-Aid

The pharmacy chain Rite-Aid has joined the growing list of facilities in Michigan that can vaccinate people against the virus that causes COVID-19.
Appointment slots are open immediately for people who are eligible to be vaccinated. That includes front-line medical workers, residents and staff of nursing homes, and anyone age 65 or older. Beginning Monday, it will include people 50 and older who have underlying health conditions.
Doses of the vaccine are coming directly from the federal government through the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.
There are only two Rite-Aid locations in Kalamazoo County: On Centre Avenue in Portage and in Kalamazoo’s Milwood neighborhood.
