Meijer opens up walk-in vaccinations
You no longer need to book an appointment ahead of time to get vaccinated against the coronavirus. Meijer announced on Monday they will begin instituting walk-in appointments at all store locations.
The walk-in vaccinations will be on a first-come-first-served basis, and the chain superstore said there will be limited supplies of the vaccines available for walk-in appointments. But it also said it promises to make have at least 100 doses available per week at every location.
In announcing the change, the retailer also touted the fact that it has administered more than a million doses of vaccine since it began offering them in mid-January.
Both the Moderna and the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines will be available for walk-in appointments. Meijer will also continue to register patients for pre-scheduled appointment slots.
