Unemployment offices to reopen

The offices will not allow walk-ins for the time being - appointments only.

After 15 months of pandemic closure, Michigan unemployment offices will reopen beginning June 30.

Those difficulties were exacerbated by the surge of new applications for unemployment benefits early on. The state had between 600,000 and 900,000 new applications each week during the first months of the pandemic.

What’s Happening: Unemployment offices are reopening for appointments only on June 30. Offices will not see walk-ins. Appointments can be booked online.

Appointments are available in 15 minute increments from 8:15am to 4:45pm Mondays through Fridays.
