WMU students don’t have to disclose vax status to roommates

The university won't require students to share their vaccination status with the person they're going to share a room with.

As students at Western Michigan University move into the dorms this week, most won’t know whether their new roommates are vaccinated or not. And according to WMU policy the roommates won’t have to tell them.

WMU has stubbornly refused to require vaccinations even as other schools in the state instituted mandates. However, the school will require those not vaccinated be tested for COVID-19 weekly. The school also has a mask mandate.
